Lakshmi Kannan, noted poet, translator and fiction writer, will present a programme of readings from her work,
and will discuss her writing in the process of her presentation.

She translates her own Tamil novels and stories into English, and will say something about translation problems
in the course of her talk.

The programme will be in the Seminar Room, New Building, First Floor in the American College campus.


Thursday, 23rd August, 11:00 A.M.

Manohar Devadoss, artist and author, will be featured in a programme honouring the publication of his most
recent book, Multiple Facets of My Madurai.

He will give and discuss a power point presentation of some of his drawings and sketches of Madurai scenes -- from
the city, and surrounding country-side -- which his book includes.

The programme will be in the Seminar Room, New Building, First Floor in The American College campus.
