::Study centre for Indian Literature in English and Translation::

SCILET was established in 1985 by “seed money” given by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, New York, USA, and has been continuously supported by a variety of generous grants from this institution almost every year since that time. These gifts include a strategic Matching Grant programme, several Book Grants for the SCILET library, and crucial help in developing the Centre’s Endowment Programme.

In addition to the United Board, other institutions named below have consistently given encouragement by a variety of crucial grants that have supported both the Endowment Fund and many other aspects of the Centre’s activity and growth.
